Laman MADANI In Mantin Provides Recreational Space For Over 30,000 Residents

Laman MADANI In Mantin Provides Recreational Space For Over 30,000 Residents

NILAI, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- More than 30,000 residents in Mantin;can now enjoy their own recreational space following the completion of Laman MADANI last March.
State Local Government, Housing and Transport Development Action Committee chairman J. Arul Kumar said the project was driven by the community's need for a large-scale recreational area, which had been lacking compared to other districts.

He added that the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) allocated RM500,000 for the construction of Laman MADANI, while the pedestrian walkway, also costing RM500,000, was managed by the Seremban City Council (MBS).

The initial phase of the project involved constructing a 400-metre pedestrian walkway, along with providing open spaces for recreation and family activities. This is not merely a physical development, but a symbol of the government commitment to the people, he told reporters after the launch of the Laman MADANI last night.

The Mantin Laman MADANI was officially inaugurated by Transport Minister and Seremban Member of Parliament, Anthony Loke.

The park is located in the heart of Mantin town, close to the Mantin health clinic, community hall, drive-through recycle centre (DTRC), public library, Tabika Perpaduan;and school.

It is equipped with a children’s playground and several outdoor gym facilities suitable for all age groups, including the elderly.

Arul added that the park features nine solar-powered light poles, allowing the area to be safely used at night. The second phase of development is currently in the planning stages, with proposals including the construction of an open stage for community activities.
